The Dance of The Snowflake

So... in English class, each day we have a daily 'journal prompt' on the board. Some people write their journals replying to the prompt. Some people use it to spark their own, similar ideas, and some people write about totally different things that are unrelated in any way.
Today's prompt was to describe the first snowfall of the season.
No, I didn't do it. Instead, I wrote a poem that I want to share with you now. I'm only doing this after much pleading from my friends to share it. And no, I'm not going to submit this to our literary magazine. It's not that good, I wrote it in 15 minutes.
CLICK THE KOALA BEAR TO SEE IT!(If you arrived here through a direct link and this is not the last thing you see, ignore this.)

*Note: I drew a pretty ballerina next to the poem, but since I can't upload it onto my computer, I'll be providing a different image.
The Dance of the Snowflake
By me, Ali.

While most dances begin with
the ope  ning of a curtain,
or the rising of one, at least,
my dance begins with the closing of the
      grey cloud-curtains,
where I, as well as my fellow performers,
            anxiously await the start.
Our audience waits eagerly, heads craned
p
u
towards the sky.

We are ready to begin.
The children below squeal as
the first performer
d a r t s
onstage, then another, and another.
They begin an elaborate dance,
intertwining their unique movements with each other
  some are interpretive,
others do a sort of hip-hop,
                      and many do ballet.
Each of us look the same to our audience,
but
we take pride in knowing that  each costume is different
                           and all are lovely.
Now, it is my turn
and I begin my slow floating waltz to the ground.
Once I finally conclude, I join my fellow dancers
in a deathly heap
where we fade away
                  into nothing but a puddle
And as the audience clears,
   disappointed by the ending,
and the lights slowly rise and warm our freezing bodies
we return
                -->                    backstage
to prepare
for our next show.

Did you like it? Comment below! :D
Ok. A few people told me they could find a hidden meaning or moral or something. Could you find anything? It was meant to be about snowflakes. But tell me, what did you think?

Thanks for reading! I have another post in the works, so it should be up soon! <3
